Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, management, and successful delivery of mission-critical data center construction projects. This role oversees project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and stakeholder communication throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience managing large-scale electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects within data center, mission-critical, or industrial construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource forecasting.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Coordinate project activities among owners, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Review and approve change orders, invoices, pay applications, and subcontractor billing.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining profitability objectives.
- Monitor project cash flow and ensure alignment with financial targets.
Construction Management
- Oversee site activities and monitor project progress against schedule and milestones.
- Coordinate installation of critical infrastructure systems including:
- Electrical distribution
- Medium-voltage and low-voltage systems
- UPS systems
- Generators
- HVAC and cooling systems
- Fire protection systems
- Building management systems
- Drive issue resolution and ensure project objectives are achieved.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and project status updates.
Risk, Quality & Safety
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality control standards and commissioning requirements are met.
- Support commissioning activities and final project turnover documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial construction.
- Experience managing projects valued at $10M+.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure.
- Proficiency with project management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project schedules.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
- PMP certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with commissioning and mission-critical facility operations.
- Familiarity with Tier III and Tier IV data center environments.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and industry best practices.

Pay: $50.00 - $90.00 per hour
