CNC Operator I – 2nd Shift

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour + 5% Shift Differential
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Hawkins Precision is seeking a CNC Operator I to join our growing 2nd Shift team. This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience who wants to develop their machining skills and advance into more technical CNC setup roles.
As a CNC Operator I, you will operate CNC equipment, perform repeat-job changeovers, conduct quality inspections, and learn advanced setup techniques from experienced operators and team leaders. We offer a clear career path and opportunities for advancement within our manufacturing organization.
What You'll Do
- Operate CNC machines and secondary equipment to meet production requirements
- Perform repeat-job part changeovers and tooling swaps
- Make basic offset adjustments and minor machine corrections
- Assist with machine setups under the guidance of senior operators and leads
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
- Monitor machine performance and identify quality concerns
- Maintain accurate production and job status records
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic understanding of CNC machine operation
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing career path
