Outpatient Orthopedics & Active Aging
Overland Park, KS | CORE Strategies Physical Therapy
Empowering People To Stay Active for Life
At CORE Strategies Physical Therapy, we believe physical therapy should be more than helping someone recover from an injury—it should help them maintain an active, independent lifestyle long after formal treatment ends.
We're looking for a passionate, growth-oriented Physical Therapist who is excited about delivering exceptional orthopedic care while helping build a bridge from rehabilitation to lifelong fitness and wellness.
Our clinicians serve a balanced caseload of orthopedic patients, spending approximately half of their time helping Medicare-aged adults restore and maintain their mobility, strength, and independence, while the remainder of their schedule supports clients across the age spectrum—from competitive athletes to active adults pursuing their favorite hobbies and activities. We are committed to creating lasting impact in every life we touch, with a particular emphasis on helping seniors bridge the gap between rehabilitation and lifelong wellness through participation in our senior-focused group fitness programs, where they can continue building strength, confidence, and resilience long after discharge.
If you're motivated by meaningful relationships, clinical excellence, and making a lasting impact in your community, we'd love to meet you.
What Makes This Role Different You Own the Entire Patient Journey
We don't view discharge as the end of care.
Our therapists help guide patients from injury recovery to long-term movement health. You'll play an important role in helping Medicare-aged clients transition from one-on-one therapy into our senior-focused group exercise programs, creating continuity of care that supports long-term success.
One-on-One Care
We believe great outcomes require attention and connection.
You'll work with one patient at a time, allowing you to provide individualized treatment, build stronger relationships, and focus on delivering meaningful outcomes rather than managing overwhelming caseloads.
Growth Through Initiative
We offer a highly collaborative environment with experienced clinicians who are committed to sharing knowledge and helping each other improve.
Our mentorship model is designed for clinicians who take ownership of their development. You'll have access to case discussions, clinical collaboration, continuing education, and experienced mentors—but your growth will be driven by your curiosity, initiative, and willingness to seek feedback and ask questions.
Build Clinical Excellence
You'll develop advanced skills in:
- Orthopedic evaluation and treatment
- Movement assessment and analysis
- Clinical reasoning and problem solving
- Patient communication and education
- Long-term health and wellness planning
- Exercise progression and performance optimization
- Managing patients across the pain-to-performance continuum
Who We're Looking For
This role is ideal for a clinician who:
- Is passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through movement.
- Thrives in an autonomous environment and takes ownership of results.
- Is highly motivated, self-directed, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Actively seeks feedback and uses mentorship opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Enjoys solving complex clinical problems and thinking critically.
- Values relationship-building and creating exceptional patient experiences.
- Is excited about serving both active older adults and orthopedic patients across the lifespan.
- Believes physical therapy should extend beyond pain relief and support lifelong health and wellness.
- Wants to contribute to a positive, collaborative culture while continuing to raise the standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional one-on-one outpatient orthopedic care.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on long-term outcomes.
- Educate patients on maintaining health and performance beyond therapy.
- Identify opportunities to transition appropriate clients into our senior-focused group exercise programs.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve patient outcomes and clinic initiatives.
- Participate in clinical discussions, mentorship opportunities, and professional development activities.
- Build meaningful relationships within the community and serve as an advocate for movement health.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds or is eligible to obtain a Kansas Physical Therapy license.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is passionate about active aging, orthopedics, and movement health.
- Takes responsibility for their own professional growth and development.
- Embraces feedback, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Wants to become a highly respected clinician in their community.
- Aligns with our mission of helping people move better, feel better, and live better.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunities
- Collaborative clinical environment
- Structured mentorship and clinical development opportunities
- Paid continuing education
- Health insurance and HSA
- Company-matched Simple IRA
- Paid holidays
- Long-term disability coverage
- Clear opportunities for professional growth and leadership
The Right Person for This Role
The ideal candidate isn't looking for someone to hand them a career roadmap.
They're looking for an environment where they can challenge themselves, learn from experienced clinicians, contribute to something meaningful, and make a lasting impact on the lives of the people they serve.
If you're passionate about orthopedic care, active aging, lifelong fitness, and becoming the best clinician you can be, we'd love to hear from you.
