MANUAL TRANSMISSION ENDORSEMENT

Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with automatic or manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security.
- Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving schedules and adjusting for traffic or weather conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of freight documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any unforeseen issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial transportation, including delivery driver experience.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer dynamics.
- Ability to handle various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks confidently.
- Skilled in load & unload operations using forklifts or other equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent route planning skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions on the road.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols related to trucking operations.
