Job Summary
Our Optometric technicians receive on-the-job training. Training will familiarize you with the clinic’s policies and procedures as well as our computer systems. I am looking for the right person that will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists by pretesting patients prior to their eye examinations, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity assessments, tonometry, and retinal imaging.
- Manage front desk operations which include; managing patient records, scheduling appointments, greeting patients and handling inquiries
- Answering phones, checking voicemail, emails, etc.
- Verifying Medical & Vision insurance
- Multitasking is a must!
I am hiring for a part-time technician that is available 3-4 days per week for the following shifts (if you are not available indefinitely for Tuesday, please do not apply):
- Tuesday 11am - 7:15pm (A MUST)
- Wednesday 10:30am - 6:45pm
- Thursday 10:30am - 6pm
- Saturday 9:30am - 4:30pm
Experience
- Previous experience in an optometry setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
