We are one of Southern Michigan’s premier custom remodeling companies, and we are looking for a detail-oriented, self-directed Construction Project Manager with outstanding customer service skills to join our team.
Position Overview
Working with the President, the Construction Project Manager will take ownership of multiple construction projects from beginning to end. This role is responsible for coordinating materials, labor, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and client communication to ensure each project is completed on time, within budget, and to Alpha’s high standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages of completion. You are someone who can take direction when needed, but also knows how to run with the ball when it’s passed to you. You take ownership, anticipate challenges, communicate clearly, and follow projects through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and customer service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Guide clients through the design, estimating, and selection process.
- Develop and manage project budgets, scopes, schedules, and change orders to ensure projects meet budget and deadline goals.
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, and product orders.
- Conduct job-site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to Alpha standards.
- Identify potential issues early and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving.
- Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, and final walkthroughs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of construction management experience required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional customer-service mindset and a positive, professional verbal and written communication style.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with estimating software helpful; Houzz experience preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
