Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Furniture Delivery & Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role involves delivering furniture to customers, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring a seamless experience from order pickup to final installation. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for furniture delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload furniture items using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Deliver furniture items directly to customers’ homes or designated locations, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Assist with warehouse organization, including inventory management, stock rotation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Load delivery trucks efficiently by following planned routes and optimizing load capacity.
- Unload incoming shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and store items appropriately within the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times, special instructions, or issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups for reporting and accountability purposes.
Requirements
- Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or moving services is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles required.
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation tools for efficient deliveries.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical stamina required for moving furniture items.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
- Reliable work ethic with attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
