Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in driving a range of vehicle types—including manual transmission trucks, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across diverse routes.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off mechanisms, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks as required for different delivery needs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries, provide updates, and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with endorsements for tanker, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, or other specialized vehicles as applicable.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery in various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers or dump trucks.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of vehicle handling and control.
- Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment; familiarity with freight handling standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement practices.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
