What You’ll Do
As a Retirement Services Relationship Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients and plan participants, helping them understand and plan for retirement with confidence. This role blends client relationship management, education, and financial planning support within a collaborative banking environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retirement plan clients and participants
- Deliver tailored retirement and financial planning guidance
- Provide one-on-one retirement investment consultations and employee education
- Support retirement plan compliance and respond promptly to client inquiries
- Assist with plan design, administration, and ongoing service needs
- Maintain working knowledge of retirement plan services and investment products
- Identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing client relationships
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements through training and professional development

- Strong relationships lead to repeat engagement and referral opportunities
- Retirement plans are serviced accurately, compliantly, and on time

Required skills and competencies:
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain financial concepts in an approachable way
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with retirement plans (401(k), retirement plan services, wealth management, or financial advising)
- Understanding of retirement rules, regulations, and plan features
- Experience educating clients or facilitating financial conversations
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in financial services or retirement plan support preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willingness to obtain applicable industry certifications (support provided)
Schedule & Travel
- Monday–Friday, regular business hours
- Occasional overnight or day travel
