Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Director to lead the management and optimization of our comprehensive property listing platform. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the MLS system to ensure it meets the needs of real estate professionals, brokers, and clients. Your leadership will drive innovative solutions that improve data accuracy, user experience, and system performance, empowering our team to deliver exceptional service in a competitive market. Responsibilities
- Assist members with Sentrilock App and/or lockbox issues; administer and maintain the electronic lockbox system (Sentrilock) according to NAR policy; demonstrate use and understanding of Sentrilock software; and issue lockboxes to participants as requested.
● Serve as liaison to the WAMLS Board of Directors; attend all WAMLS Board of Directors meetings.
● Handle and Approve WEBAPI applications from MLS participants via Trestle.
● Prepare monthly WAMLS Housing Statistics Report and News Release for submission to the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) and WAMLS Fast Stats.
● Conducts quarterly lockbox inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available for participants and orders/returns lockboxes as necessary.
● Responsible for Instanet forms available for use by Association Members.
● Manage Caravan meetings working with committee chair and members, including: securing listings for Caravan, sending out feedback to Caravan participants. Sending out Caravan meeting reminders to membership.
● Process all additions/changes in MLS system.
● Assist members with questions about the West Alabama Multiple Listing Service system.
● Provide technical support to MLS subscribers.
● Responsible for handling listing inaccuracies reported to the MLS service.
● Serve as primary contact for member issues with MLS products; Sentrilock, Instanet, and other similar service providers.
● Maintain and update content on MLS Homepage.
● Maintain familiarity with the Bylaws and Rules & Regulations of the West Alabama Multiple Listing Service.
● Stay informed about every aspect of the MLS System, including the computer software and any contracts.
● Oversee the content and accuracy of the West Alabama Multiple Listing Service website at www.tuscaloosamls.com.
● Secure Affiliate sponsors for Caravan Meetings, Lunch & Learns, and other events.
● Stay informed of all MLS information from the National Association of REALTORS® and all other sources.
● Keep Association Executive apprised of all MLS operations and issues.
● Partner with the Director of Membership Development & Operations to support and execute a range of membership processes and initiatives.
● Serve as first point of contact for association/MLS, answer phone calls, greet customers in a positive, helpful manner.
● Complete other work as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in real estate industry is highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent client communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and computer skills.

Pay: $49,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
