As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll make a meaningful difference every day by helping individuals build life skills, stay safe, and live fulfilling lives.
We have part time and full time shifts available.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD in a residential setting.
- Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) and promote independence and daily living skills.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and positive environment.
- Support clients in community activities, appointments, and recreational outings.
- Administer and document medications per agency policy.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and communication logs.
- Uphold client rights, dignity, and confidentiality always.
- Attend required training courses and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift, assist, and provide physical support as needed.
- Prior experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Must pass background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
Requirements
- Completion of CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and required College of Direct Support (CDS) trainings.
- Must remain awake during all working hours.
- Must maintain a working phone number for contact in emergencies.
