Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Deliver freight across long-distance OTR routes, maintaining timely schedules while prioritizing safety at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; perform basic maintenance checks to ensure truck safety and compliance
- Document delivery details accurately, including load & unload records, logs for hours of service, and incident reports when necessary
Compensation
- Pay: 20% of Gross Load Revenue
- Estimated earnings: $800–$1,400+ per week, depending on freight volume, load rates, and miles completed
- Driver receives 20% of the gross revenue generated by each completed load
- Compensation is load-based and may vary from week to week
- Higher-grossing loads provide higher earning potential
- Pay details for completed loads will be provided for transparency
- No CDL required for this position
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean/acceptable driving record
- Must meet DOT driver qualification requirements
- DOT Medical Certificate when required
- Previous box truck or commercial driving experience preferred
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Comfortable driving interstate routes
- Able to safely handle freight-related duties, including use of a pallet jack when necessary
Pay: $800.00 - $1,400.00 per week
