Corridor Title is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Escrow Assistant to join our Austin Residential Team. In this vital role, you will support the Escrow Officer and Escrow Team in managing and processing escrow files, helping ensure smooth and timely closings. Summary:
The Escrow Assistant provides critical administrative and operational support to the Escrow Officer throughout the escrow process. This role coordinates communication with all transaction parties, prepares and processes escrow documents, and ensures that post-closing tasks are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and brings 2-3+ years of escrow, title, real estate, or related experience.
Essential Duties:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Transaction Support:
- Coordinate and communicate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties as directed by the Escrow Officer.
- Process assigned escrow files and assist with the following tasks:
- Distribute fully executed contracts
- Order tax certificates
- Order resale certificates
- Distribute title commitments
- Order mortgage payoffs
- Order additional supporting documents as needed per file requirements
- Prepare preliminary and final closing statements (CDs, HUDs, and cash statements) in accordance with lender and attorney instructions.
Funding & Post-Closing:
- Obtain funding approval from lenders.
- Fund transactions and communicate post-closing details with all parties.
- Prepare post-closing packages.
- Record documents within 24 hours of funding.
- Scan and prepare the complete file for the Policy Department.
Experience and Skills:
- 2-3+ years of experience in escrow, title, real estate, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Proficiency with standard office technology and industry software (training provided if needed).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
