Job Overview:
Are you looking for a small business/friendly environment to work in? We are seeking a skilled Paint Prep to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sanding, masking and prepping trailers/tractors for paint, some painting, with a focus on preparing trailers/tractors for the painting process. Also someone with the willingness to sandblast
Duties:
- Prepare equipment for painting by scuffing, sanding, cleaning and masking surfaces
- Assist in mixing paint colors to match customer specifications
- Use hand tools, air tools, and paint spraying equipment to apply primers and sealers
- Sandblast equipment to clean corrosion off for paint
- Perform basic cleaning and washing of trailer/tractors
- Support painters with various tasks in the painting process
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the paint prep process
Skills:
- Experience with paint spraying equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge for vehicle preparation
- Knowledge of hand tools used in the auto body repair process
- Customer service skills to interact with clients and address their needs
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
