The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body, and seeks a Pediatric Pathologist.
The Pediatric Pathology Division at RCHSD currently has 8 full-time pathologists and provides a full range of anatomic and clinical pathology services, with approximately 13,500 surgical pathology, 400 bone marrow, 1,500 cytopathology cases, and 20 pediatric autopsies per year. The Department participates in ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Surgical Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, Hematopathology, and Neuropathology at the UCSD School of Medicine and trains medical students and residents in pediatric pathology from the UCSD School of Medicine and the San Diego Naval Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide coverage of a full range of Pediatric Pathology services, including a share of call. The successful candidate will also teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
The appropriate series and appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
