Position Requerments
- Schedule: Evenings and some late nights required; flexibility during opening phase
- Location: West Palm Beach
- Experience: 4+ years progressive kitchen experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/sous chef role required
Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen line and supervise all stations during service, ensuring fast, efficient, and high-quality execution of every menu item
- Train, mentor, and manage line cooks and prep staff while providing constructive feedback and professional development
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on recipe development, menu execution, inventory management, ordering, and food cost control
- Oversee daily prep, production, station setup, walk-in organization, labeling, and date coding
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance throughout the kitchen
- Lead nightly closing duties, enforce cleanliness standards, and coordinate periodic deep cleaning tasks
- Help foster a positive, professional, and efficient kitchen culture focused on consistency, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience running a fast-paced kitchen team
- Strong technical skills and passion for refined, nostalgic American comfort food
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and best practices
- Ability to stay organized, calm, and consistent during high-volume service
- Experience with inventory systems, food costing, and ordering
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Team-first leadership style with a genuine desire to teach, develop staff, and build something special
