As a HU Certified General Manager, you are responsible for overall restaurant performance, team leadership, and delivering excellence in Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value (QSCV). This position is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent McDonald’s franchisee.
As a General Manager, you are accountable for all aspects of restaurant operations, people development, and business results.
Core Responsibilities:
Operations Excellence

Ensure consistent execution of QSCV (Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value) standards

Oversee daily operations and long-term business performance

Maintain compliance with all McDonald’s standards and procedures
People Leadership & Development

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team

Coach and develop Crew Trainers, Shift Leaders, and Department Managers

Build a strong leadership bench for future growth

Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture
Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards

Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers

Enforce all health, safety, and security procedures
Financial Performance

Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities

Control labor, food costs, and inventory

Drive sales growth and profitability

Analyze performance metrics and implement improvement plans
Customer Experience

Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service

Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively

Ensure a welcoming and guest-focused environment
Administrative & Operational Oversight

Oversee scheduling, staffing, and labor deployment

Ensure completion of all reporting and documentation

Required Qualifications & Certifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Hamburger University (HU) Certified General Manager
-
Valid ServSafe Certification
-
Open Availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Additional preferred qualifications:

Proven experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Strong business decision-making abilities

Bilingual abilities are a plus (Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in English & Spanish)
