Night Sanitation Manager
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Night Sanitation Manager to lead and oversee sanitation operations for our Shell Egg and Egg Products facilities. This position is responsible for managing sanitation personnel, ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met, and supporting a safe, efficient, and food-safe production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership to the night sanitation team, including staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee daily sanitation operations and ensure equipment and work areas meet company food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable USDA, FDA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, and company requirements.
- Oversee pre-operational inspections and verify equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for production.
- Monitor sanitation supplies, chemicals, tools, and PPE inventory.
- Identify sanitation, equipment, and operational issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and other departments to support efficient plant operations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, food safety, and quality.
- Evaluate sanitation processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred.
- Previous management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety practices in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to effectively manage, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-off management role focused on leading the sanitation team, overseeing operations, compliance, and performance rather than performing cleaning duties.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
