Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy vascular practice. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced medical environment, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and provide excellent customer service to patients while efficiently managing front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
- Navigate and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately
- Verify health insurance eligibility and collect co-pays as needed
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Manage incoming paperwork, referrals, and correspondence
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and patients
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven ability to multitask in a high-volume medical office
- Experience with EMR systems and medical office workflows
- Working knowledge of health insurance plans, verification, and authorizations
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or specialty practice
- Familiarity with vascular, cardiology, or specialty practices is a plus
