Desert Vision Center is a private, upscale, and fast-paced ophthalmology practice in Rancho Mirage. We are seeking an energetic candidate to join our growing team who is highly professional, detail oriented, and able to multitask. The ideal candidate will have an excellent customer service background, works well under pressure, enjoy working, be genuinely positive and enthusiastic, and be a part of our team for years to come.
College education required and science background preferred. Experience in the hospitality or service industry is preferred. We offer on-the-job training for the right candidate who is excited to enter the field as a career.
Responsibilities:
- Patient advocacy
- Patient Counseling
- Place medical orders.
- Insurance Verification
- Greet patients, their visitors, and other staff members.
- Answer phones and route calls.
- Insurance Billing and Collecting Co-payments
- Be familiar with laws, regulations and procedures governing the medical practice.
- Coordinating physician, surgical, and hospital care
