Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and charting of ADL's and tasked performances
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through previous long-term care or senior care roles
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred
- Comfort working in group home settings or personal care homes
