Responsibilities

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following sanitation protocols and performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Manage food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and presentation quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles within healthcare or similar settings.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts, including knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food industry standards for safety and hygiene.
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and other departments.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
