Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Nanny to provide exceptional care and support for our children in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. This role involves creating a positive atmosphere that promotes learning, development, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and passionate about working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. As a full-time caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting families by managing daily routines, fostering growth, and ensuring a healthy and happy environment. A reliable car is essential and the ideal candidate will be a non-smoker.
Duties
- Provide attentive childcare for children of different ages, including an 11 month old and a 4 year old - the 11 month old is very mobile and loves to be held, and the 4 year old is very active
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to each child's dietary needs
- Engage children in educational activities that promote learning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized living space by performing light cleaning and tidying up after children, such as putting dishes in the dishwasher and cleaning up toys
- Administer first aid when necessary and handle minor health concerns promptly
- Assist with potty training, nap schedules, diaper changing, and age-appropriate activities
- Plan and execute age-appropriate outings, playdates, and developmental activities; outdoor play is a must
- Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in routines and discipline strategies
- Foster a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Two dogs that are kenneled in the house; taking them out to use the restroom and feeding them if needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in nannying or childcare roles, especially with infants and preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond calmly in emergencies
- Strong skills in meal preparation and understanding of nutrition for young children
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties related to childcare areas
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with parents and children alike
- Patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward caregiving tasks
- Familiarity with daycare practices, babysitting techniques, and teaching methods for early childhood development
