Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, rest periods, and outdoor time to ensure safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure children's well-being.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support special education needs or children with disabilities when applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development milestones, and early childhood education principles.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred), with the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
- Strong classroom management skills and experience working with toddlers or infants.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm while caring for young children.

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
