Job Summary
The HHA plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of home health practices and be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
We are currently looking for a HHA for two clients located in Swansea and Seekonk. This will be a part time position of going to the clients home for 1 hour per day, Monday through Friday.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Help with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and organization.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Ensure adherence to resident rights and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support individuals with disabilities by offering direct support tailored to their unique needs.
Requirements
- Experience or training in first aid and home health practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with care plans and patient monitoring techniques.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and care.
- Previous experience in direct support roles is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required for transportation purposes.
- HHA Certificate is required
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care in a home setting while fostering independence and dignity for clients.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
