Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and security
- Transport a variety of freight types including refrigerated items, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers like dump trucks or roll-off trucks
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while minimizing fuel consumption and vehicle wear
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips
Pay: $2,000.00 - $4,000.00 per week
