Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Please note that 85% of loads are Regional OTR (Over the road)
Pay: 25% of load
Federal Holidays = $100/day
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload goods onto the truck using proper equipment and techniques
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles
- Knowledge of local roads and routes in the area
