Job Title: Finish Grade Dozer Operator
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday–Friday
Job Summary:
We are currently hiring for 2 experienced Finish Grade Dozer Operators in Sarasota, FL. This role requires precision operating skills for fine grading on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site development, finish grading, and operating heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a dozer for finish grading work, maintaining specified grade tolerances
- Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors to achieve desired contours and elevations
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper operation
- Work closely with site supervisors and crew to coordinate grading and prep work
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to all safety standards and procedures
- Identify and report any hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly
Requirements:
- 1+ year of dozer operating experience, specifically in finish grading
- Ability to read grade stakes and interpret site plans
- Strong attention to detail and precision in grading work
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred:
- Experience with GPS-enabled equipment (Trimble or similar)
