Sales Executive – National Accounts
Umbria Coffee Roasters
Umbria Coffee Roasters has been crafting exceptional coffee for generations - roasting in Seattle and Chicago, operating cafés across the nation, and partnering with some of the most respected names in hospitality and food service. We're in an aggressive growth phase, expanding our wholesale business across the country, and we're building a national sales team from the ground up. We're looking for seasoned sales professionals (in any major market) who already understand this world and want to get in early on something that's moving fast.
This is not an entry-level or transitional role. We're looking for someone who has sold into hotels, contract food service, or multi-unit operators, and who knows how to navigate a long sales cycle, build relationships at the executive level, and close.
What You'll Do
- Own a territory. You'll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing large-scale wholesale accounts. Think hotel chains, contract food-service operators, retail groups, and multi-unit restaurant concepts in your region.
- Sell at the top. You'll engage directly with senior decision-makers, not just buyers, understanding their operational needs and positioning Umbria as a long-term partner, not just a vendor.
- Manage the full cycle. From prospecting through onboarding, you'll own every step and ensure new clients are set up for success.
- Stay close to your clients. Regular in-person visits throughout your territory are a core part of this role. Expect to travel.
- Represent the brand. You'll attend industry events, stay sharp on market trends, and bring Umbria's story to the right rooms as we grow, you'll be one of the faces of that growth.
Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years in regional or national B2B sales, ideally within coffee, specialty beverage, food service, or hospitality supply
- A track record of selling to and closing senior-level decision-makers at large organizations
- Deep familiarity with how hotels, contract food service, or multi-unit operators evaluate and onboard vendors
- Strong pipeline discipline and CRM habits. You track everything
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and building a territory from scratch as we expand into new markets
We're hiring across the country and will build territories around where strong talent is based. Ability to lift 50 lbs (equipment and product demos are part of the job). Clean background check required.
Coffee industry experience is a genuine advantage here. We'd rather train the right person on our products than train someone on the industry.
What We Offer
- Base salary starting at $70,000 + commission + bonus
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- PTO and paid holidays
- Retirement plan with employer match
- Gas allowance, company phone and laptop
- Extensive coffee training — we take this seriously
- Real autonomy: you'll run your territory like a business, with the backing of an established brand and a team that knows how to support sales
- The chance to build something at the ground level as we scale nationally
Why Umbria
We're not a startup trying to figure out wholesale, and we're not a commodity roaster competing on price. We're a premium, multi-generational brand with deep roots in the specialty coffee world and a hospitality-first approach that resonates with the clients we're targeting. We're expanding fast, and we're assembling the team that will drive that expansion market by market. The person who takes this role will have genuine room to grow with us.
If that sounds like the right fit, we'd like to hear from you.
