We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our retail operations and drive business growth. Duties
- Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems management, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating purchasing to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and maximize sales opportunities.
- Drive sales growth through effective customer engagement, upselling techniques, and promotional activities.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Coordinate scheduling shifts for staff to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Monitor store financials by managing payroll, budgeting, retail math calculations, and bookkeeping tasks.
- Conduct recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel aligned with store needs.
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase foot traffic and brand visibility within the community.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, health regulations, and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervisory or assistant manager roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Extensive knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development, and performance management.
- Proficiency in retail math calculations such as pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with recruiting processes including interviewing and onboarding new staff members.
- Familiarity with operational management tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational skills complemented by time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette proficiency for engaging with clients professionally.
