We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Ballet Faculty Member to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive ballet lesson plans tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating curriculum development best practices.
- Lead engaging ballet classes that emphasize proper technique, artistry, and performance skills while managing classroom behavior effectively.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress, encouraging continuous improvement and confidence.
- Incorporate choreography and dance instruction techniques to enhance students’ understanding of movement, musicality, and stage presence.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects such as theater productions or musical performances that integrate dance elements.
- Manage classroom logistics efficiently, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students.
- Support youth programs by working with children and preschool-aged students, applying childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching ballet, Pointe and other dance forms in educational or community settings.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to various age groups.
- Experience working with children or youth programs, demonstrating patience and adaptability in teaching environments.
- Knowledge of choreography techniques and dance instruction methods for both visual and performing arts disciplines.
- Familiarity with theater arts, concert performance and competitions , or related creative arts enhances instructional versatility.
- Prior experience in working with children ages 3-12 is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere through effective behavior management and childhood development strategies.
