Role Description
We are a stealth-mode life sciences startup seeking a hands-on Research Associate II to join our growing team and help advance next-generation cell therapy manufacturing processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge science by using biology, engineering, and clinical translation while helping build the foundation of a rapidly advancing biotechnology company.
In this role, you will support the development and optimization of cell therapy manufacturing processes by performing human cell culture experiments, executing bioanalytical assays, and generating high-quality data to support process development activities. You will work collaboratively across Process Development, Manufacturing and Quality teams in a fast-paced startup environment, gaining broad technical experience while contributing directly to the advancement of innovative cell therapies.

Key Responsibilities
- Aseptic tissue culture using human cells, including iPSC generation and maintenance, as well as executing differentiation protocols
- Perform cell product quality assessments by implementing techniques such as ddPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, and TEER
- Keep detailed and organized records of experiments
- Present data updates and plans at recurring group meetings
- Assist in maintenance of inventory and equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Basic understanding of molecular biology
- Demonstrated proficiency with aseptic technique for mammalian tissue culture
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new skills
- Ability to keep well-organized and clear records of experiments
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and employ effective time management strategies
- Good critical thinking skills
- Experience with techniques such as Western Blot, ELISA, ddPCR or qPCR, flow cytometry, immunostaining
Preferred Experience or Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred; familiarity with GMP biologics or cell therapy processes and batch records desirable

The annual base salary we expect to pay is $75,000-$95,000. Individual pay decision depends on various factors such as responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
