Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and seasonal themes.
- Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping.
- Ensure all cakes are prepared in compliance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage inventory and maintain supplies needed for cake decoration.
- Package finished products attractively for display or delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating area and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends in cake decorating to continually enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Must be the age of 18 years old.
- Proven experience in cake decorating or a related field within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with pastry techniques and kitchen equipment, including knives and mixers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in catering is a plus but not required.
- A creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics.
