Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items following established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency, presentation, and flavor excellence
- Support meal preparation for catering events, special functions, or daily service needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrating strong culinary skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
