The Role
We're looking for a Customer Service Representative to be the day-to-day voice of Phelps for our customers. This is a hands-on role at the center of our operations — you'll handle inquiries, process orders, coordinate with purchasing and the shop floor, and help ensure customers get exactly what they need, when they need it.
What You'll Do
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing accurate product information, pricing, and lead times
- Process orders accurately in our ERP system (Distribution One)
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse staff to track order status and resolve issues
- Prepare quotes for standard and custom gasket and sealing products
- Build relationships with existing accounts and flag opportunities to the sales team
- Maintain clear records of customer communications and follow up on open items
- Support accounts receivable by helping resolve billing questions
What We're Looking For
- Customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a technical product environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you're professional, clear, and follow through
- Comfortable learning technical product specifications; prior knowledge of gaskets, sealing, or fluid control products is a plus but not required
- Experience with an ERP system (Distribution One experience is a bonus)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- A team player who can work across purchasing, sales, and operations

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
