Seeking an experienced professional for a senior-level position responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment. This includes monitoring gauges, meters, and recording activities in logs and records. Utilizes computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record, and make adjustments within operating parameters. Conducts various plant maintenance tasks such as diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Performs overhaul maintenance and system improvement tasks. Provides input to enhance plant safety, reliability, and efficiency. Ensures compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations as well as plant procedures.
- Perform complex technical services/support duties requiring specialized operational knowledge.
- Ensure contract sales agreements are met within safe and efficient operational limitations.
- Independently prioritize and execute responsibilities.
- Review work for quality and technical competency.
- Resolve complex technical issues and may serve as a resource to others.
- Prepare reports/documents as required.
- Adhere to safety, NERC, and environmental procedures.
- Communicate with Balancing Authority using 3-way communication.
- Operate plant systems and equipment during routine, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Conduct maintenance on plant water systems.
- Maintain site buildings and grounds.
- Available for night, overtime, weekend, and holiday work as needed.
- May require occasional travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, technical/vocational school degree, military service or equivalent required.
- Associates degree (AA) preferred.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Experience with hazardous materials and testing equipment.
- Mechanical, Electrical, or I&C experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, exercise good judgment, and make sound decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to provide work direction and training.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license with acceptable driving record.
