General Purpose of Job
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, Saws, Plasma Arc Burn Tables, tools, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position supports production by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and assisting with facility improvements.

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery, tools, trailers, and facility systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain and repair Hyd-Mech Saws, Hypertherm Plasma Burn Tables, welding equipment, air compressors, conveyors, lighting, and building infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment or safety issues before failures occur.
- Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status in maintenance logs or software.
- Assist in installing, adjusting, or relocating machinery and production equipment as needed.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and workspaces.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Detailed expense tracking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Must have technical repair experience on Hyd-Mech H20 and M16-22A Bundle cutting band saws
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as required.
Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing plant setting. The position involves exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving machinery. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and working in tight spaces throughout the shift.
