Join a contractor supporting conveyor system installation within a large distribution facility in Fort Wayne, IN. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety during material handling equipment installation, mechanical assembly, elevated work, equipment setting, and contractor operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional who enjoys working alongside installation crews while helping ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
One of the following is required:

OSHA 500 Certification and 6+ years of construction safety experience

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental HealthSafety (or related field) and 3+ years of construction safety experience

CSP, CHST, or STSC Certification and 5+ years of construction safety experience
Conveyor installation experience
Material handling equipment installation experience
Distribution center or warehouse construction experience
Mechanical construction experience
Amazon or large logistics facility experience

Oversee daily safety activities for conveyor installation operations

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
-
Support installation activities involving conveyor systems and material handling equipment
-
Monitor elevated work, equipment installation, and mechanical assembly operations
-
Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
-
Deliver safety orientations and field safety coaching
-
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
-
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
-
Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
-
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
