Overview
StoneGate Homes & Interiors is seeking a skilled and dependable Drywaller to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate has experience hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, repairing, and finishing drywall for residential remodeling and new construction projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing smooth, high-quality finishes while working efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, hang, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings.
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to prepare surfaces for painting or texturing.
- Repair damaged drywall, holes, cracks, and water-damaged areas.
- Match existing textures and finishes for remodeling and restoration projects.
- Install corner bead, trim, and other finishing materials.
- Read blueprints and construction drawings to determine project requirements.
- Work alongside carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, and project managers to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and local building codes.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 2 years of drywall installation and finishing experience.
- Experience in residential remodeling and new construction.
- Proficiency in hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall.
- Ability to repair and match drywall textures.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
