Under limited supervision, support the Production and Engineering departments with troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, testing, training, change orders, alignments, and manufacturing assembly activities.

Perform testing and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on SAI manufactured equipment as assigned

Efficiently troubleshoot equipment and evaluate repairs needed on manufactured equipment

Follow standard assembly procedures to perform rework and repairs on manufactured equipment

Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics to execute repairs accurately
-
Troubleshoot complex hydraulic and electrical systems and complete appropriate repairs

Investigate issues reported by Sales, Service, and customers to identify and recommend solutions
-
Disassemble, measure, reposition, and install parts according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and standard work instructions

Test assembled parts and products to ensure proper functionality and quality specifications are met

Provide technical and job skills training to new and existing production employees in various assembly departments
-
Work alongside less experienced production employees to develop their skills and product knowledge while helping prevent future rework

Complete sales order changes on production units

Monitor and resolve open production-related Andons as units near completion

Perform truck chassis alignments

Assist with resolving Nuss-related issues as needed

Assemble, test, and perform pilot runs of new or improved products while documenting results

Create and produce electrical components for production and prototype products as needed

Rebuild and test hydraulic cylinders

Support Engineering with special projects as assigned

When workload permits, support various production departments including Assembly, Test, Final Prep, and PDI to assist production schedules, training, and capacity needs

Follow established safety and environmental procedures

Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned

Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment on the production floor approximately 95% of the time

Perform outdoor work in various weather conditions approximately 5% of the time

10+ years of experience working with Schwing products or related construction equipment required
-
3–5 years of experience in a similar role with increasing levels of responsibility preferred
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Formal training beyond high school, such as a certification or associate degree in automotive repair or related field, preferred

Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical schematics
-
Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
-
Knowledge of industrial electrical/electronic systems and radio controls

Technical knowledge of construction equipment and tools required
-
Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job training in a timely manner

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate complex activities

Basic computer skills to review work instructions, track labor, and complete production-related tasks
