About the Role:
The HR Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department by managing administrative tasks and facilitating smooth HR operations. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The HR Specialist acts as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and helps with employee engagement activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams across the company.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Prior experience in an administrative or HR support role is preferred.

Basic understanding of HR functions and employment laws.

Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Comfortable in presenting in front of a group of employees.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Familiarity with payroll processing and benefits administration.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Help maintain and update employee records in HR databases and filing systems.

Assist in the recruitment process when needed, which may include but is not limited to posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

Support onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation and orientation materials are prepared.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with administrative duties as it relates to the bank’s benefits plan.

Coordinate and assist with employee training sessions and performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Prepare HR reports and assist with payroll processing as needed.

Collaborate with HR team members to improve processes and enhance employee experience.

Other duties as assigned by the manager.
