Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling.
- Coordinate and manage warehouse distribution activities to meet operational targets.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory levels and ensure accuracy.
- Oversee forklift operations and heavy lifting tasks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols such as OSHA standards.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Conduct regular inventory control audits and manage stock replenishment to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and 3PL providers to coordinate shipping & receiving schedules.
Skills
- Strong background in warehouse management, distribution, and logistics operations.
- Proven experience in inventory management, control, and cycle counting techniques.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts and conveyor systems.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop staff effectively.
- Knowledge of lean management practices to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and 3PL logistics solutions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during high-volume periods.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards relevant to warehousing environments.
