We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Export Supervisor to oversee our daily export operations. This role ensures efficient and timely shipment processing, compliance with international trade regulations, and effective team management. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage export operations, including scheduling shipments, preparing documentation, and coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs requirements, export controls, pharmaceutical handling requirements, and company policies.
- Oversee the preparation of export documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and any documentation required for pharmaceutical products and controlled shipments.
- Monitor the performance of the export team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve any issues related to export shipments.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to export operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, pharmaceutical carriers, and other service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable logistics solutions.
- Stay up to date on changes in international trade laws and regulations, including pharmaceutical shipping and handling requirements, advising management on potential impacts.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management for export operations, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in export operations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation requirements are met for pharmaceutical and temperature-sensitive shipments, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in export operations, logistics, or a similar role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing or coordinating pharmaceutical shipments, healthcare products, or temperature-controlled cargo is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, export documentation, and pharmaceutical transportation requirements.
- Experience handling pharmaceutical products in compliance with industry standards, including GDP (Good Distribution Practices), temperature-controlled logistics, and applicable regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
