American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13–26 week contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience and active ARRT or RCIS certification.

Acute care hospital setting with a dedicated cardiac catheterization lab — no IR coverage required

Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds

Patient population includes middle and older adults

Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, rotablader atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure devices, and scrub procedures

Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)

3x12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Candidates will work 2–3 weekends per contract

On-call is required on a rotating basis with staff and agency; call frequency is flexible based on census and to be discussed with the manager

Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting

Active ARRT or RCIS certification required

Active BLS and ACLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)

Active professional license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)

Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, rotablader atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, and scrub procedures

Experience with equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, sterile technique, and isolation precautions

Cerner EMR experience required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Contract length is flexible at 13 or 26 weeks

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler

Travel pairs are not accepted
