POSITION SUMMARY
The receiving team lead will be responsible for the receipt of all incoming goods to ensure they are complete and in good condition. This role involves communicating effectively with suppliers, checking packing slips against orders, inspecting shipments for damages or defects, and processing returns, when necessary, Kelvion objectives and standards for cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Provide leadership, coaching and training to achieve the company goals and objectives.

Coordinate plant activities including planning to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Develop both monthly and annual forecasts and budgets.

Communicate regularly with other functional groups including engineering, sales, human resources etc.

Direct and manage plant operations for production planning, inventory management, production, maintenance, quality, safety, and shipping and receiving.

Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries, and capital expenditures.

Oversee the administration of work rules, OSHA requirements, health and safety regulations ensuring monthly meeting occur. Good housekeeping practices and 5S/6S, within the guidelines of the company.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

Demonstrated experience of an effective Manager.

Ability to delegate and manage resources to produce efficient and quality results.
-
ERP system knowledge and experience including inventory control, scheduling, and job order processing, and controlling priorities.

Familiar and knowledgeable with budgets and financial statements.

Working knowledge and track record of lean manufacturing concepts, including kaizen events, 5S/6S, pulls systems, visual control mechanisms, and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated leadership and team building and training skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, including working in a matrix environment.

Be flexible to deal with change and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
-
BA or BS degree preferred in a technical field or 3-5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Must have experience in a functional supervisory position in at least one of the following: scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, or line supervision.

Experience in lean manufacturing concepts.

Must understand quality certifications such as, ISO 9002.

Have project management skills for leading and organizing projects, providing progress tracking reports as directed, and coaching others to perform on cross-functional teams at a high level.
