Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in intensive care, medical-surgical, and emergency settings to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, exceptional patient assessment skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care across multiple departments, including ICU, MedSurg, and Emergency Room, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert interventions and collaborative teamwork.
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage complex clinical procedures such as airway management, ventilator support, catheterization, suturing, dialysis access care, and tube feeding.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations in the ER or ICU by implementing critical care response procedures and providing life-saving interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and specialists in infectious disease care or trauma medicine to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed through aseptic technique and proper specimen collection/processing.
- Provide education to patients and families on health coaching topics such as pain management, post-discharge care planning, or hospice & palliative medicine options.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state licensure; prior ICU experience is required along with emergency room experience or Level I/II trauma center background.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical care procedures including ventilator management, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and acute pain management techniques.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics—including neonatal resuscitation procedures—and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of physiology concepts related to patient assessment and vital signs monitoring; ability to perform physical examinations accurately.
- Additional skills preferred include trauma medicine expertise, hospital medicine experience at teaching hospitals or trauma centers, long-term care or nursing home experience, assisted living familiarity, and familiarity with Workers' Compensation law.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
