American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring 5+ years of recent CVOR experience and call coverage participation.

Work in the CVOR service line within the Surgery unit of a hospital setting
-
Perform surgical support for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
-
Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include impella, IABP, or adult ECMO
-
TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR

Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
-
Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement or revision to endovascular procedures in the endovascular OR

Service line comprises 4-6 ORs including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures

13-week assignment with a 10:30 AM-9:00 PM shift, 4 shifts per week on weekdays based on department need

Call coverage required for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Active RN license (TX or Compact) required

Current BLS certification through AHA

Minimum 5 years of recent full-time CVOR RN experience in a high-volume hospital setting required

Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required

Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding

Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed

Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

Candidates must be prepared to independently manage a high case volume with little to no onboarding time

Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate depending on facility location

First-time travelers will not be considered for this role given the high experience threshold required
