Eclaire Health is a fast-growing snack and chocolate manufacturer, looking for a creative, detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to manage various projects related to preventive maintenance programs on current equipment and new capex equipment purchases with internal team members and external vendors.
The Mechanical Project Manager will work hands-on with the maintenance, performance, modification, and all facility equipment and infrastructure. The Mechanical Project Manager will monitor infrastructure systems, plan maintenance, secure vendors, request quotes, and implement schedules. A working knowledge of facility systems is required for HVAC, electrical distribution, cooling systems, compressed air and gas distribution and Building Management System.
Essential Job Functions:
· Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
· Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
· Capital project planning and execution. Including communicating with vendors and establishing schedules to ensure timelines are achieved.
· Establishes and maintains a system for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of plant equipment
· Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems
· Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department
· Monitors the operation of plant equipment and systems to ensure equipment is running smoothly and efficiently to reduce utility bills.
· Assists the production departments in maintaining a safe environmental program for the operations department and reviews safety standards to ensure maximum safety for all the operators.

Preferred Education and Experience
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science
· A minimum of 3 years of experience working with facility infrastructure or in a related area (food production or packaging lines)
· Must have experience in purchasing capital equipment, layout planning and installation
· High sense of urgency, drive and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
· Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment meeting critical deadlines
· Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. The role will report to the COO.
Requirements
· Knowledge of AutoCAD software to update drawings and help produce layouts for various construction projects.
· A high level of proficiency in reading schematics, layouts, blue prints and piping diagrams
· Hands-on mechanical skills to perform maintenance on equipment and facilities, such as rebuilding motors, welding, and light electrical work, are not a requirement but a strong benefit to the applicant.
Work Environment
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and production environment. This requires long periods of standing on concrete floors, hand manipulation of packaged product, exposure to loud equipment noise. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory. Exposure to allergens exists such as wheat, egg, dairy, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, fish and shellfish.

Very little travel is expected for this position.
Location
This job is on-site at the factory in Gresham, Oregon. It is not a remote position.
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
