Shop Welder (MIG) – Fabrication Shop
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking experienced Shop Welders for a fabrication client in Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders with experience in MIG welding using .045 wire and steel fabrication. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and produces high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding using .045 wire on steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel components according to specifications.
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Experience welding carbon steel.
- Experience using .045 wire.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must possess a current welding certification. A copy of the certification must be submitted with your resume.
- Must be able to pass a client-administered MIG weld test using .045 wire.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
