Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Duties
- Support multiple classrooms by assisting lead teachers with child supervision, activities, and routines throughout the day
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to all safety protocols and mandated reporting laws
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions that promote development
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and developmental progress
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Collaborate with staff to implement curriculum plans focused on childhood development, early education principles, and behavior management strategies
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly preferred
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and effective behavior management skills
- Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or babysitting roles demonstrates versatility in caregiving skills
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety
- Classroom experience in daycare centers or early childhood programs enhances your ability to adapt quickly in a floating role
